Recent plant/garden related activities?
I don't hear that often from the members of my community!
I would love to know what recent things you have done to your garden, or indoor plants!
The most recent thing I did was well water some plants this morning and mist them. My veggies that I planted a few weeks ago have mostly sprouted. So I am just happily watching them grow.

I bought two tomato plants, a rosemary bush and two beautiful Iris plants. I had to give away the tomato plants because I will not be able to be home enough to water them. I am going to be taking care of some family members. One that lives and hour and forty-five minutes from me and one that lives three hours from me. When I get back home I will plant the Rosemary bush and the Irises in the ground. I hope they will live. I was going to plant the tomato plants in containers but decided it would be better to give them away.

Today I bought strawberry and wild strawberry plants for the balcony. Planted them right away and gave them water. I hope I will be blessed with many berries this summer!

I finally planted the Rosemary and the Irises. Actually, Peggy planted them for me and I just helped.

I watered most of my indoor plants thoroughly. It gets pretty hot in my living room when it's sunny and hot outside. Had like thirty degrees indoors when I came home today. But I guess the plants like it. The most recent activity in the outdoor garden is watering my sunflower plants. They haven't really developed much. No flowers yet, but I usually don't water them and can't expect them to grow super fast I guess. I wonder if I can grow sunflowers indoors too? Would be nice to harvest my own sunflower seeds since I like to eat sunflower sprouts.

I'm sure you can! just pay attention to what kind of seeds you buy. I suspect the dwarf kind is best and depending on the season you want to grow them in, they usually sell a summer variety and a fall variety.

#10 wow! You are getting a nice collection there! 😊🌿 What is the big palm looking plant? Is it easy to care for?
Host of Apartment Gardening | Ashtanga Yoga | Literature | Migraine

Thanks! I have forgotten the name but it was mentioned in a thread here about plants that produce a lot of oxygen. Maybe Areca palm? I haven't killed it yet (I've had it since.. maybe February or march?) And it's still alive. Should be easy since I'm a plant killer xD

Oh yeah! My friend has the same one I think. She got it from Ikea 🙂 I cannot keep plants like that in my apartment cause my cats like to eat those leaves lol.

Because, I am in the middle of a move I am having to find people that can care for my plants until I have a place to keep them.

Beautiful! I can never keep those alive. I gave my dad one years ago and it lived for several years but eventually died 😲

#23 Oh, no! I thought they would be easy. I'm not the best caregiver but I hope mine survives anyway.

I think they are fairly easy but just keep checking to make sure they don’t get spidermites. It’s a common pest for them
