One of our blackberry bushes is getting berries late in the season. Unfortunately, lots of them never ripen despite being large enough. I wonder if there is an easy way to make them hurry up next year. This is a garden plant and it gets direct sunlight from about midday. It's worth noting that not all blackberries on the plant are late. We harvest many large and tasty berries during the second half of summer.
I don't use fertilizer regularly. Some year's I have, but most not. Do you think that might make them ripen faster? I figured that since they get large and very tasty, they had the fertilizer they need. Maybe they don't.
