How do I put stress on a blackberry bush?

One of our blackberry bushes is getting berries late in the season. Unfortunately, lots of them never ripen despite being large enough. I wonder if there is an easy way to make them hurry up next year. This is a garden plant and it gets direct sunlight from about midday. It's worth noting that not all blackberries on the plant are late. We harvest many large and tasty berries during the second half of summer.

Do you use fertilizer? And if you do, do you use it year round?

I don't use fertilizer regularly. Some year's I have, but most not. Do you think that might make them ripen faster? I figured that since they get large and very tasty, they had the fertilizer they need. Maybe they don't.

Maybe if you fertilize more often during the season, the final harvest will ripen in time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m not sure.

Okay, I will try to remember fertilizer next year. Thanks!
