Allotment garden update
We filled the garden beds with a compost, soil and biokol mix and lined them with weed barrier cloth.
I made the mistake of adding some fresh compost from our kitchen in a hole in each of the beds. Some animal is coming in during the night digging everything up and burying the plants in the process. So I am building these row covers out of PVC pipes and cloth.
It's coming along slowly!

It looks very nice. I´m tempted to look for a lot here in town, but then I remember that it is a lot of work, and I´m kind of lazy, so the balcony is enough

Sadly some of the kale and broccoli bolted and went straight to seed. I think next year I won't start any brassicas, lettuce, or cilantro inside because it's too warm. I'll just sow them outdoors.
The bok choy and swiss chard is thriving though!

A little visual update. We sawed off the corner posts of the beds because we aren't technically allowed to have greenhouses - even though they would have been cold frames and not greenhouses. Alas we decided to do row covers with PVC pipes instead even though it doesn't look as cold covers with hard plastic and wood.
