In the winter, I water all of my plants every week. However, in the summer I tend to check on each of my plants more often and water them more depending on its dryness since the plants need more water during growing seasons.

I'm guilty of watering them whenever I remember

I also do it when I remember. That often means they have reminded me by having the leaves turning yellow or looking slouchy.

Yes, they choose the wrong family.

In winter I tend to water once a week but in summer they need alot more often. In the living room some plants get water every day (south west window). The rest I check on pretty much every other day since they just have morning sun. On the balcony they get water every day also when that is up and running

Personally I don't, but I'm fairly sure someone else in my house does regularly! Guilty as charged
