Planting spring flowers on the balcony

It’s spring again! 🌸🌞🌷 I went to the plant nursery yesterday and bought a bunch of mini Pansies and cleaned my balcony up. Have you done any spring planting or cleaning yet?

I haven't done any yet because I have been busy moving but I plan to start really soon!

We haven't done anything. Γ…sa has decided to buy tomato and cucumber plants instead of raising them from seeds. It simply isn't worth the effort of playing and caring for seeds. Last year's store-bought plants gave a lot of tomatoes and cucumbers, and they were organic.

Hmm, I just lied. πŸ˜€ Last weekend Γ…sa gathered tree branches from pine trees we had taken down in December. Most of them are still lying around, though.

#2 I agree! Sometimes it is just better to buy the young plants. The summer is so mild in Sweden that it is worth it.

Can she go there when she likes, or do you have to open the door for her?

I have to open the door for them because I need to be able to watch them, since we are on the 4th floor. Maja has no understanding of the fact that she can fall and get hurt lol. They do really careless things. Louis tries to eat the birds when they fly onto the balcony so I also need to protect them from her as well.

How strange that indoor cats lose their instincts. I wouldn't have guessed. πŸ™‚

I bought a nice big tomato plant! The bigger the plant the quicker the time to having tomatoes πŸ… to eat!

When do you expect it to have ripe tomatoes?

Makes me want to go buy some veggie plants 😁 but I don’t know if it is too early here in Sweden.
