Growing strawberries indoors- any advice?

So I bought some strawberries on a whim over a week ago. But I’m afraid to put them on my balcony because there are these really invasive bugs that eat and kill every plant (even though I use bug spray) I put on the balcony except for pansies. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I thought about either putting them on the balcony and covering them somehow or keeping them in my apartment on the sill of a sunny window. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know if they need to be pollinated or not; I couldn’t really find any information for this specific strawberry. Any advice? 🍓

A think it needs to be pollinated but you could do it yourself with a small brush.

Lots and lots of sun. The more pollination they get, the more, bigger and earlier strawberries they grow. I found an article in Swedish about it:

» Fler insekter gör bättre jordgubbar (More insects makes better strawberries)

#1 Okay I looked out how to pollinate it with a brush. Hoping I did it correctly and it  works Laughing

#4: Do you know what kind? Have you searched for a solution? Are they a flying or walking kind?

#5 Yes I have. A report from Stockholm University found that this type of bug is a problem now in the area due to the warmer summers. It looks like a small moth. I have to keep the apartment Doors and windows closed because they eat my indoor plants too. I’ve tried many bug sprays and predatory bugs but the best I have found is to keep them away from the plants at all costs.

How about putting up a birdhouse next to the balcony or on nearby trees? Black and white flycatchers eat flying insects, thousands of them. I've been planning to build a birdhouse for them to get rid of mosquitoes and wasps around the house.

That's very early. Sell them to restaurants and make a fortune. 😀
